Now that you understand Opportunity stages, let’s make sure we’re on top of all new contact requests.
‘Inbox Zero’ is a great practice to ensure you always stay on top of the most recent requests. We never want to leave unread messages in Conversations so let’s review how we do this without letting opportunities fall through the cracks:
Anytime we touch a contact, always remember the 3-actions we need to take.
Update Contact: Store any information collected from the conversation on the contact record
Don’t forget to change the Contact Type if it is not a lead
Take Action: Call, text, email… take an action to progress the contact forward in your sales process.
Create / Update Opportunity: If the contact is a lead, make sure to create an opportunity if one does not already exist in your sales pipeline. This is VITAL to follow-up and ensuring that no leads fall through the cracks.
