Once your Google Local Services Ads (LSA) account is fully set up, it’s important to track performance and make adjustments that help you get the best results. Your default LSA number is often generic, which makes it difficult to track how many leads are truly coming from your ads. For better accuracy, use a dedicated tracking number from your CRM (like Tidy Your Sales).
To update your number in Google LSA:
Visit the Google LSA Help Center and go to Contact Us
Select Update account information
Choose Phone number change and submit the form
When prompted, request a Call Back for faster support
During the call, confirm you’ve submitted the form and granted permission to update your account
Note: It may take a few hours for the new number to reflect on your profile.
Once your new number is added, make sure it’s connected to the right automation so you can track leads properly.
In your CRM:
Go to Automations
Search for the LSA workflow or check under Miscellaneous
Update the trigger to include incoming calls from your new LSA number
If needed, purchase and configure a new number, and label it for LSA use
This ensures all LSA-related calls are properly tracked in your system.
To help Google see your business as reliable and active, mark jobs as booked in your LSA dashboard.
From the Leads section:
Mark leads as Booked when a job is completed or scheduled
Be accurate—Google may contact the customer to verify
Google may also automatically mark leads as booked based on customer responses
Rate each lead, especially if it was irrelevant or poor quality
Regularly updating this helps Google trust that you solve real customer problems, which can improve your lead volume.
Getting a steady stream of quality leads requires careful budget control.
Start with manual bidding to gauge ad performance
Adjust your weekly budget to align with your monthly cap
Once leads are coming in consistently, switch back to automated bidding for better efficiency
Monitoring this monthly helps you stay in control without overspending.
Once your setup is complete and your system is tracking properly, monitoring your results and making these small tweaks each month can go a long way in maximizing your LSA performance.
